Hal Hershfield is a Professor of Marketing, Behavioral Decision Making, and Psychology at UCLA’s Anderson School of Management and holds the UCLA Anderson Board of Advisors Term Chair in Management. His book, Your Future Self: How to Make Tomorrow Better Today, is an exploration of why we often make decisions in the present that don't align with the future we want for ourselves, and how building a deeper relationship with our future selves can not only help us make better decisions in the present but bring our ideal future into reality.
